From our family to your family

Our place is where we combine Sri Lanka’s diversity of cooking styles and techniques and its hospitality. The name ‘Citrine’ represents our motherland, ‘Ratna Deepa’ – the island of gemstones.


From the family behind Cress 8, our approach is recognisable: Friendly service, honesty and the use of quality local fresh produce.
Our menu celebrates the authenticity of Sri Lankan cuisine, a cuisine that is influenced by its neighbouring countries, silk road traders and even from past rulers, yet holding on to its uniqueness. Memories of mum’s best home cooking and indulging on Sri Lankan street food led us to present you with what we love to eat the most.

Our Menu

Our everyday menu includes Sri Lankan staple, rice and curry and the street foods – kottu, fried rice and snacks. Kottu is Sri Lankan’s favourite fast food and is a fun dish to make. You want miss the sound in making.


The weekly specials menu to is to keep things interesting. Every day, you get to enjoy a delicious special meal. Your trouble will be to pick the day.
Rice being the central item, most meals in the menu are free from gluten. Also, there are lot of options for those who follow a vegetarian or a vegan diet. Unfortunately, onion, garlic and chilli are inevitable.

Whether its a birthday party with your family or celebrating a milestone with your friends, a year end Christmas party with your teammates or just a weekend gathering, our authentic Sri Lankan cooking will leave your guests with a unique culinary experience that is guaranteed to leave a lasting impression.

We have put together some menus, with items to complement each other with a service from a drop-off to hiring tableware but we are flexible to change to suit your vision of the event.
